Catalina was born in Argentina after her parents fled Columbia. She and her husband, Herculano, have a daughter, Natalia. She helps run Julieta & Marcin’s café and becomes Dodge's parental guardian so he can attend high school with Maria, Nicolaus, and Akari.

Herculano was born in Venezuela, and his family escaped to his mother’s native country, Argentina, when he was a teenager. He runs Julieta & Marcin’s café in Frisco, Texas, with his wife Catalina. He is a trusted ally for Julieta and the family in a supporting role.
